Gold Nuggets from Swift Creek and surrounding area

Besides the 294 ounce nugget recovered on Swift Creek in 1998 some of Alaska's largest gold nuggets have been found in the Ruby mining district including: 96 ounces in 1914, 34 ounces in 1916 (Source P 14), 46 ounces in 1963. Pictured here are a few of the gold nuggets discovered at Swift Creek and the surrounding area.
